Vintage Tiffany Jewelry
The Tiffany Company has been around for over almost two centuries. Charles Lewis Tiffany started the company back in 1837.
He was an accomplished jewelry maker and his son was a talented glass and lamp decorator.1 Charles and his friend John Young started a small gift shop in New York City in 1837.
They sold porcelain, cutlery, and jewelry. By 1868 there was a London branch, and a Paris branch. The store also moved its location to 5th avenue in New York. A few years later Tiffany's acquired some of the French Crown Jewels.
Over the past decades Tiffany jewelry has been worn by famous families like the Astors and Vanderbilt's. The company has since opened 64 stores around the US.
They have also opened many shops around the world, including stores in Asia, Ireland, and Spain. If you love Tiffany jewelry but want a vintage piece you should look for classic Tiffany items. There are vintage necklaces, rings, earrings and brooches. |
